The self-serve plans (Starter, Pro and Max) cover most people, and Max already includes 10,000 pages a month. This page is for the cases they do not cover.

Everything below is arranged case by case — these are conversations, not switches we flip on your account. If something here matters to you, tell us what you actually need and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it, what it would cost, and how long it would take.

What people usually ask us for

More volume than Max. If you are translating tens of thousands of pages a month, per-page pricing stops making sense. We can quote a committed annual volume instead.

Invoicing and procurement. Purchase orders, bank transfer instead of card, annual invoicing, W-9 or equivalent tax paperwork, and a signed contract rather than click-through terms.

Your own model or API key. PDFPal already routes translation through pluggable engines, and we can point a dedicated engine at your own OpenAI, Anthropic or compatible endpoint — so the text goes to your account under your data agreement, not ours.

Data handling commitments. A signed DPA, a defined retention window, or a written confirmation of what we do and do not store. For reference, our standard behaviour is described in the privacy policy: documents are processed on isolated workers and are never used to train models.

Self-hosting. The whole stack — application, translation worker, database, object storage — runs as containers. Running it inside your own network is technically feasible. It is not a product we ship today, so treat it as a scoping conversation rather than a purchase.

Security review. Questionnaires, architecture questions, or a call with whoever needs to sign off.

What we will not pretend to have

We would rather lose the deal than oversell, so, plainly:

• There is no SAML/SSO integration today. Sign-in is email and password. If SSO is a hard requirement, say so up front and we will tell you where we are.
• There is no OCR. Scanned, image-only PDFs have no text layer to translate. If your documents are scans, you need to OCR them first — that constraint does not go away at any price.
• There is no public API yet. If you want to translate documents from inside your own systems, tell us — it is the most common request and it affects what we build next.
• PDF in, PDF out. We do not currently accept Word, PowerPoint or EPUB.
